Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in HEK293 cells. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

The ACE gene encodes an enzyme that converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II, a potent vasopressor and aldosterone-stimulating peptide critical for blood pressure regulation and fluid-electrolyte balance.
This enzyme is a key component of the renin-angiotensin system. Variations in the gene, including a 287 bp Alu repeat element, have been linked to enzyme levels and cardiovascular pathophysiology.
Two main alternatively spliced isoforms (somatic and testicular) are equally active, with additional variants identified but not fully characterized.
