This antibody detects endogenous levels of FRA1 only when phosphorylated at Thr227.
Target Information
The v-Fos oncogene was initially detected in murine osteosarcoma and avian nephroblastoma virus isolates. Members of the c-Fos gene family—including c-Fos, FosB, Fra-1, and Fra-2—encode nuclear phosphoproteins that are rapidly and transiently induced by various stimuli and function as transcriptional regulators. Unlike c-Jun proteins that can form homo- and heterodimers binding to DNA response elements, c-Fos proteins are active only as heterodimers with Jun family members. Certain ATF/CREB family members can also form leucine zipper dimers with Fos and Jun, exhibiting distinct specificity and affinity for AP-1 and CRE sites.
