The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have diverse functions related to transcriptional activation or repression. Most zinc-finger proteins possess a Kruppel-type DNA-binding domain and a KRAB domain that interacts with KAP1, recruiting histone-modifying proteins.
ZNF544 is a Kruppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein localized to the nucleus and may play a role in transcriptional regulation. It is a 715 amino acid protein containing 13 C2H2-type zinc fingers and one KRAB domain.
