Product Specific Information

The eBioRDR5 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD127 (Interleukin-7 Receptor alpha).
CD127 forms a complex with CD132 (common gamma chain) to create the IL-7 receptor (IL-7R), a type I glycoprotein (~75–80 kDa). It is expressed on immature B cells, thymocytes, and most mature T cells, with transient down-regulation upon activation.

  • Function: Mediates IL-7 signaling through Jak/STAT pathways, essential for lymphocyte development and T-cell homeostasis.
  • T-reg marker: CD127 expression is down-regulated in CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells, providing a refined marker for T-reg identification (Foxp3+).
  • Blocking: Binding of eBioRDR5 to PBMCs is blocked by recombinant human IL-7 (Product #14-1079-80).

Each product includes:

  2. 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

NovaFluor dyes compatibility:
Not compatible with DNA-intercalating viability dyes (PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

Recommended usage of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer:
Add 5 µL per sample or per 100 µL of cell suspension (10³–10⁸ cells).
Use in all experiments involving NovaFluor conjugates for optimal staining.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures with minimized spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD127 (IL-7 Receptor α)
A glycoprotein regulating lymphopoiesis. The active IL-7 receptor is an alpha/gamma chain heterodimer (IL7R).

  • Alpha chain: Determines specific signaling events.
  • Gamma chain: Activates signal transduction.
    Promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T-cell progenitors, and mature CD4+/CD8+ T cells.
    Associated diseases include severe combined immunodeficiency (T−/B−/NK+ types).
