This antibody reacts with cytokeratin peptides 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 18.
Cytokeratins are intermediate filament proteins found in epithelial tissues.
Target Information
Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
They range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and have isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8.
Cytokeratin subtype expression patterns are used to distinguish epithelial malignancies and aid in tumor diagnosis using immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Keratins serve as valuable markers in cancer research and diagnostic studies.
