Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Glutamate dehydrogenase 2 (Glud2) is localized to the mitochondrion and functions as a homohexamer to recycle glutamate during neurotransmission. It catalyzes the reversible oxidative deamination of glutamate to alpha-ketoglutarate.
Diseases associated with GLUD2 include Parkinson Disease (Late-Onset) and Familial Hyperinsulinemic Hypoglycemia type 6. Related pathways include the GABA shunt and Carbon metabolism.
