Target Information
Securin 단백질은 효모의 securin 단백질과 상동성을 가지며, separin이 자매 염색분체 분리를 촉진하지 못하도록 억제합니다. 이 단백질은 anaphase-promoting complex (APC)의 기질로, APC 활성화 전까지 separin과 결합합니다.
해당 유전자는 in vitro에서 변형 활성을, in vivo에서 종양 형성 활성을 가지며 다양한 종양에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
단백질은 두 개의 PXXP 모티프를 포함하며, 이는 변형 및 종양 형성 활성, 그리고 basic fibroblast growth factor 발현 자극에 필요합니다. 또한 APC에 의해 분해되기 위한 destruction box(D box)를 포함하고 있습니다.
산성 C-말단 영역은 전사 활성화 도메인으로 작용할 수 있으며, 주로 세포질에 존재하지만 일부는 핵에도 위치합니다.
