Target Information
ATG12는 자가포식 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, ATG5와 결합하여 단백질 지질화 과정에서 유비퀴틴 단백질 리가아제(E3) 유사 활성을 가진 복합체를 형성합니다. 이 복합체는 RIG-I 및 VISA(IPS-1)와 같은 선천 면역 반응 단백질과도 결합하여 type I 인터페론 생성을 억제하고 바이러스 복제를 허용합니다.
ATG12는 또한 ATG7 존재하에서 인간 배아 신장세포에서 ATG10과 상호작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 최소 두 가지 이소형이 존재하며, 자가포식은 세포 단백질의 분해 및 영양분 보존에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 과정은 TOR(rapamycin 표적 단백질)에 의해 음성 조절됩니다.
