Anti-Cholesterol Oxidase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, ion-exchange chromatography, and extensive dialysis.
Immunoelectrophoresis assay shows a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum and purified Cholesterol Oxidase [Microorganism].
Cross-reactivity with Cholesterol Oxidase from other sources is unknown.
Target Information
Cholesterol Oxidase is a bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of the 3‑beta‑hydroxy group of cholesterol and the isomerization of the double bond of the resulting product.
This enzyme participates in cholesterol metabolism, a part of steroid metabolism.
