KIT (c-KIT)는 MGF(mast cell growth factor, stem cell factor)의 수용체로, type 3 transmembrane receptor입니다.
KIT는 다양한 조혈 및 비조혈 세포의 성장과 활성화를 조절하며, 돌연변이는 위장관 기질종양(GIST), 비만세포 질환, 급성골수성백혈병(AML), piebaldism과 관련이 있습니다.
SCF와 결합 시 c-Kit은 이합체화되어 자가 인산화 및 신호 전달 경로(Ras/ERK, PI3K, PLC-γ, JAK/STAT 등)를 활성화합니다.
이 수용체는 조혈, 줄기세포 유지, 생식세포 형성에 필수적입니다.
