Product Specific Information

  • Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
  • Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits.
  • Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Advantages:

  • High specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

FRAP1 (mTOR) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in cellular growth and proliferation. Perturbations in the mTOR/PI3K/AKT pathway are associated with various cancers. FRAP1 is also the target of rapamycin and its analogues, used as immunosuppressants and cancer therapeutics. Mutations in this gene result in Smith-Kingsmore syndrome.
