This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CYP4X1 protein.

Target Information

Chromosome 1 is the largest human chromosome, spanning about 260 million base pairs and comprising approximately 8% of the human genome. It contains around 3,000 genes, many of which are associated with various diseases. Examples include:

• LMNA gene: Linked to Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome.
• MUTYH gene: Associated with familial adenomatous polyposis.
• Other conditions related to chromosome 1 include Stickler syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Gaucher disease, and Usher syndrome.
  A breakpoint in 1q disrupts the DISC1 gene, which is linked to schizophrenia. Chromosome 1 aberrations are found in several cancers, including head and neck cancer, malignant melanoma, and multiple myeloma.
  The CYP4X1 gene product has been provisionally designated CYP4X1 pending further characterization.
