Product Specific Information
The TS2/16 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD29 (integrin beta 1), a ~130 kDa single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein. CD29 forms heterodimers with integrin alpha subunits to create the VLA (very late antigen) family of adhesion molecules, mediating cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion. It is broadly expressed on lymphocytes and monocytes, and at lower levels on granulocytes. The TS2/16 antibody exhibits activating activity for beta 1 integrins.
Each product includes:

- 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.5 µg) per 100 µL test volume. Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Important Notes:
- NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
- Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.
- This product ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01), which enhances staining performance.
- Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample prior to cell staining. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).
NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, employing engineered nucleic acid dye structures that minimize spectral spillover and spread.
