Product Specific Information
- Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family. Its specific receptor, PD-1, negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling.
Upon ligation with PD-1, PD-L1 decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be up-regulated by IFN-gamma stimulation.
Thus, PD-L1 plays an important role in tumor immune evasion.
