Product Specific Information
- For IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family.
Its receptor, programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling.
Upon binding PD-1, PD-L1 decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production.
PD-L1 expression is abundant in many human and murine cancers and can be up-regulated by IFN-γ stimulation.
Thus, PD-L1 plays a critical role in tumor immune evasion mechanisms.
