This antibody detects endogenous levels of NMDAR2A only when phosphorylated at Tyr943.
Target Information
N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors are ionotropic glutamate-gated ion channels involved in long-term potentiation, a key mechanism underlying memory and learning. NMDA receptor channels are heteromers composed of the core subunit NMDAR1 (GRIN1) and one or more of the NMDAR2 subunits (NMDAR2A–D). Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms for this gene.
