Antibody detects endogenous levels of DDR1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr520.
Target Information
DDR1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by collagen and is reported to regulate adhesion, cell migration, and other cellular processes.
Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) play a key role in cell communication with the microenvironment, regulating growth, differentiation, and metabolism.
DDR1 is expressed in normal and transformed epithelial cells, activated by various collagens (types I–VI). Expression is enriched in epithelial tissues such as kidney, lung, gastrointestinal tract, and brain, and overexpressed in several human tumors including breast, ovarian, esophageal, and pediatric brain cancers.
The gene is located on chromosome 6p21.3 near HLA class I genes, with multiple transcript variants due to alternative splicing.
