Product Specific Information
The II/41 monoclonal antibody reacts with the μ heavy chain of mouse IgM and does not cross-react with other mouse immunoglobulin classes (IgD, IgG, IgA). IgM is expressed intracellularly during early B cell development and on the surface of mature B cells in bone marrow and peripheral tissues. FITC-conjugated II/41 can be used as a detection secondary for mouse IgM.
Applications Reported:
Flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested:
- Flow cytometry of mouse bone marrow cells: ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
- Immunocytochemistry of fixed cells: ≤ 10 µg/mL.
Careful titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.
