For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

M-CSF (Macrophage colony-stimulating factor, CSF-1) is a survival factor essential for the proliferation and development of monocytes, macrophages, and osteoclast progenitor cells.
It also induces VEGF secretion by macrophages, promoting mobilization of endothelial progenitor cells and neovascularization.
M-CSF exists as several bioactive isoforms differing in potency and stability. The full-length protein is synthesized as a membrane-spanning form, which can be cleaved and modified in secretory vesicles.
M-CSF forms a disulfide-bonded homodimer processed into either a glycoprotein or a proteoglycan isoform.
Binding of M-CSF to its receptor (CSF-1R/CD115) induces receptor dimerization, internalization, and degradation.
Functionally, M-CSF stimulates differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells into monocyte-macrophage populations.
Human M-CSF shows activity on mouse cells, while mouse CSF shows no activity on human cells.
