Product Specific Information
- Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2) (Met1-Glu764) and conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions. Unreacted FITC was removed.
- Storage: Store at 2°C–8°C for up to 12 months without detectable loss of activity. Protect from prolonged light exposure. Do not freeze. Sodium azide is toxic—dispose of properly with large volumes of water.
Target Information
KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor with high affinity. It is expressed early in development by endothelial cell precursors. FLK1 (VEGF Receptor 2) encodes one of the two receptors of VEGF and is regulated by multiple factors including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase. Mutations in FLK1 are associated with infantile capillary hemangiomas.
