Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of catecholamine neurotransmitters—dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. In all species, TH activity is regulated by interaction with tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), which binds to the catalytic domain.
Human TH has four splice variants (hTH1–hTH4) that differ in the N-terminal regulatory domain but share identical catalytic domains. TH catalyzes the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dopa and plays a key role in adrenergic neuron physiology.
Alterations in TH function are associated with neurological and cardiovascular diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, Segawa syndrome, dystonia, and others.
