O- 및 N-당화된 호모다이머 형태로 존재하며, 종양 혈관 및 증식 중인 세포에서 발현이 증가합니다.
이는 증식 관련 내피세포 마커로 간주되며, TGF-β1 및 TGF-β3와 높은 친화도로 결합하지만 TGF-β2와는 결합하지 않습니다.
