Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
SSTR2 (Somatostatin Receptor 2) is a member of the superfamily of receptors with seven transmembrane segments, expressed highly in the cerebrum and kidney.
Somatostatin inhibits release of various hormones and secretory proteins.
The receptor is coupled via pertussis toxin-sensitive G proteins to inhibit adenylyl cyclase.
