Product Specific Information
- This antibody is predicted to react with mouse based on sequence homology.
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10–20 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Suggested positive control: testis or mouse brain tissue.
Target Information
The claudin superfamily consists of many structurally related proteins (claudin 1–18) that are key structural and functional components of tight junctions involved in paracellular transport. Claudins are expressed in epithelial and endothelial cells across all tight junction-bearing tissues. These proteins contain four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops, forming tight junction strands. Claudin-11 is an oligodendrocyte-specific protein expressed in the tight junctions of Sertoli cells and myelin sheaths in mice.
