Product Specific Information
The eBioHVEM-122 antibody reacts with Herpes Virus Entry Mediator (HVEM, TR2), a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. HVEM is expressed on T cells, B cells, monocytes, neutrophils, and dendritic cells. It acts as a receptor for herpes simplex virus (HSV) entry through interaction with viral glycoprotein D (gD). The cytoplasmic region of HVEM binds TRAF family members, mediating signal transduction that activates immune responses. HVEM also interacts with BTLA, regulating lymphocyte activation and homeostasis.
Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry with normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation: 488–561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
TNFRSF14, a TNF-receptor superfamily member, functions as a mediator of HSV entry via binding to viral glycoprotein D. Its cytoplasmic domain interacts with TRAF proteins, activating immune signaling pathways. TNFRSF14 activation in T cells induces proliferation and cytokine production, contributing to inflammation and CTL-mediated tumor immunity. This protein is a potential target for modulating immune responses. Multiple splice variants exist, though some full-length forms remain uncharacterized.
