Product Specific Information
- 0.5 µg/mL of MA5-45180 detects HSP90α in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 90 kDa protein.
96% alpha-specific by ELISA.
Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are expressed in response to biological stress, including heat. HSP90 is a 90 kDa protein induced under stress but also abundant under non-stress conditions. It associates with intracellular proteins such as steroid receptors, actin, tubulin, and kinases. HSP90 is essential for maintaining structural integrity of certain steroid receptors, facilitating ligand binding during receptor activation.
