PEP-1566 can be used as a blocking peptide with the polyclonal antibody PA5-34523.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.
Target Information
JAB-1 is a 38 kDa protein originally described as a coactivator for cJUN. It is part of a large protein complex called the Signalosome, proposed to play a signaling role in mammalian cells. This complex is analogous to the COP9 complex in plants, which is important in light-mediated plant development. Although the specific function of JAB-1 in this complex is unclear, it has been implicated in targeting proteins for degradation by the proteasome.
