Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is breast tissue.
Target Information
Ran (ras-related nuclear protein) is a small GTP-binding protein belonging to the RAS superfamily.
It is essential for translocation of RNA and proteins through the nuclear pore complex and is involved in control of DNA synthesis and cell cycle progression.
Nuclear localization of Ran requires the presence of regulator of chromosome condensation 1 (RCC1).
