• For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.

Target Information

More than 99% of the vertebrate ocular lens consists of terminally differentiated lens fiber cells. Two lens-specific intermediate filament-like proteins, CP49 (phakinin) and filensin (BFSP1), are expressed only after fiber cell differentiation begins. These proteins form a unique cytoskeletal structure called the beaded filament (BF). Mutations in the BFSP1 gene cause autosomal recessive cortical juvenile-onset cataract. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
