Target Information
FOXP3 (Forkhead box protein 3)는 포크헤드/윙드-헬릭스 전사 조절 인자 계열에 속하며, 포유류에서 고도로 보존되어 있고 정상적인 면역 항상성 유지에 필수적인 단백질입니다. FOXP3는 CD25+ CD4+ 조절 T 세포에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, CD4+/CD25- 세포에서는 낮은 수준으로, CD4-/CD8+ T 세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다. FOXP3는 조절 T 세포의 특이적 마커로 알려져 있으며, 유전자 결함은 마우스에서 scurfy 표현형을, 인간에서는 IPEX 증후군(면역기능장애, 다내분비병증, 장병증, X-연관 증후군)을 유발합니다. 인간 유방 및 대장암 세포에서 FOXP3 발현은 DNA 손상에 대한 p53의 반응에 의해 조절됩니다.
