Target Information
Glucagon은 췌장에서 생성되는 29개의 아미노산으로 구성된 폴리펩타이드 호르몬(MW 3482)입니다. 장 점막에서 생성되는 관련 호르몬인 enteroglucagon(또는 oxyntomodulin)은 췌장 glucagon의 29개 아미노산 서열에 C-말단에서 8개의 추가 잔기가 결합된 형태입니다.
Glucagon의 생리학적 기능에는 glycogenolysis, lipolysis, gluconeogenesis, ketogenesis가 포함되며, 이는 인슐린의 작용에 반대되는 효과로 혈당을 증가시키는 역할을 합니다.
면역세포화학 연구에 따르면, 췌장의 A세포(α세포) 내에 glucagon이 존재하며, 이들은 췌도 세포의 약 15–20%를 차지하고 주로 췌도 주변부에 위치합니다.
병리학적으로 glucagon 관련 펩타이드의 이상은 주로 종양이나 glucagonoma와 관련이 있으며, glucagon 세포의 결핍이나 과형성 상태는 보고되지 않았습니다.
