The CD66a-B1.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD66a, c, d, and e (CEACAM1, CEACAM6, CEACAM3, and CEA).
CD66 is expressed on endothelial and epithelial cells, as well as neutrophils and monocytes. Myeloma and cancer cells also express CD66. Expression can be induced on T cells, B cells, and CD16-negative NK cells.
CD66 variants differ by cytoplasmic domain length containing ITIM motifs involved in inhibitory signaling. It plays roles in cell adhesion, growth, neutrophil activation, and signaling. Variants interact homo- and heterotypically.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Super Bright 436 is excited at 405 nm and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when using multiple Super Bright dyes to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
CD66 molecules (180–200 kDa glycoproteins) belong to the carcinoembryonic antigen family. Present on blood granulocytes and some tissue macrophages; absent from other hematopoietic cells. Expression increases upon granulocyte activation.
CD66a (CEACAM1) and CD66d (CEACAM3), as well as CEACAM2 and 4, are transmembrane proteins.
CD66c (CEACAM6) and CD66e (CEACAM5), as well as CEACAM7 and 8, are GPI-anchored membrane proteins.
