Target Information
Carbonic anhydrase (CA)는 이산화탄소와 물의 빠른 상호전환을 촉매하여 탄산, 양성자, 중탄산 이온을 형성하는 효소입니다. 포유류 조직 전반에 풍부하게 존재하며, 저산소 상태에서 HIF-1α에 의해 유도되는 유전자 중 하나인 CA IX는 세포막에 위치하고 안정성이 높아 저산소 환경의 지표로 활용됩니다.
CA IX는 pH 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, 저산소 조건에서의 세포사멸과 관련이 있습니다. 따라서 CA IX는 저산소 상태의 신뢰할 수 있는 조직화학적 마커로 사용됩니다.
