This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates.

This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse CD14.
Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms.
CD14 binds LPS in a reaction catalyzed by LPS-binding protein (LBP), playing a role in immune recognition and neutralization of bacterial components. Soluble CD14 (sCD14) discriminates structural variations in LPS and participates in immune modulation.
CD14 also binds apoptotic cells and influences allergic, inflammatory, and infectious processes. Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform.
Diseases associated with CD14 dysfunction include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
