Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human FABP2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene localizes to myelin sheaths of the peripheral nervous system. It binds both the membrane layers of the sheaths and monomeric lipids, providing stability to the sheath. A defect in this gene is associated with dominant demyelinating Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) neuropathy.
