Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 60% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat VAP-B is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human VAP-A is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein B/C (VAPB) is encoded by the VAPB gene located on human chromosome 20.
This type IV membrane protein is found in plasma and intracellular vesicle membranes. It exists as a homodimer and as a heterodimer with VAPA.
VAPB interacts with VAMP1 and VAMP2 and is implicated in vesicle trafficking processes.
