Antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHA5 only when phosphorylated at Tyr650.
Target Information
EPHA5 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors are involved in developmental processes, particularly in the nervous system.
Protein kinases transfer phosphate groups from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating signal transduction and regulating cellular processes such as metabolism, transcription, cell cycle, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
Tyrosine kinases (TKs) play key roles in cell-cell interaction regulation, including differentiation, adhesion, motility, and death. Approximately 90 TK genes have been sequenced, including 58 receptor TKs (EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and 32 cytosolic TKs (ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
