Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Podoplanin (PDPN, T1A, gp38, Aggrus) is a mucin-type glycoprotein (40–43 kDa) expressed in many tumors and normal cells, especially lymphatic epithelial cells and follicular dendritic cells. It localizes in stromal cells of peripheral lymphoid tissue and thymic epithelial cells and regulates lymphatic endothelium morphology.
Podoplanin acts as a ligand for CLEC-2 and is correlated with tumor invasiveness and metastatic potential. It is involved in cell migration, metastasis formation, and tumor invasion. Expression can be induced via Src activation of Cas, and it has been observed on Th17 cells and a subset of CD4+ PBMCs. Dysfunction is linked to diseases such as lymphangioma and subglottis neoplasm. It is also proposed as a marker for lung injury.
