MA1-74347은 Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxin type A를 인식합니다. S. aureus는 다양한 종류의 enterotoxin(SE)을 생성하며, 이들은 짧고 용해성 단백질로 대부분의 단백질 분해 효소에 안정적입니다. SE는 발열성 독소군에 속하며, 체온 상승, 면역억제 및 비특이적 T세포 증식을 유도하는 초항원(superantigen) 활성을 가집니다. 이러한 활성은 SE가 T세포 항원 수용체 및 항원제시세포의 MHC와 상호작용함으로써 발생합니다. 또한 SE는 구토를 유발하는 emetic 특성을 가지며, 식중독의 주요 원인 중 하나입니다.
