Target Information
SMAD2 (MADH2, MAD2)는 세포 증식, 세포사멸, 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정 조절에 관여합니다. SMAD2는 TGF-beta 수용체와 상호작용하며, 핵 내로 이동하여 TGF-beta 신호 전달의 중심적인 역할을 합니다. ERK1에 의한 MH1 도메인 내 threonine 8의 인산화는 SMAD2의 전사 활성화를 증가시키며, 칼모듈린에 의해 음성 조절됩니다. TGF-beta 신호에 반응하여 SMAD2는 인산화되어 SMAD4와 결합하고, 이 복합체는 핵으로 이동하여 전사 억제 복합체를 형성합니다. 또한 activin type 1 receptor kinase에 의해 인산화되어 activin 신호를 매개할 수도 있습니다. SMAD2 단백질을 암호화하는 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
