Target Information
UBA6 (UBE1L2, MOP-4)는 유비퀴틴 활성화 효소(E1) 계열에 속하는 새로운 E1 효소로, 유비퀴틴(Ub)을 기질 단백질에 공유적으로 결합시키는 과정의 일부입니다.
UBA6는 ATP를 이용해 유비퀴틴의 카르복시 말단 글라이신 잔기를 아데닐화하고, 이를 E1의 시스테인 잔기와 결합시켜 유비퀴틴-E1 티오에스터와 AMP를 생성합니다.
이 효소의 아이소폼은 정자 형성과 남성 생식력에 영향을 미치며, 인간 단핵구에서 높게 발현됩니다.
