Target Information
UBA6 (UBE1L2, MOP-4) is a novel E1 enzyme specific for ubiquitin and belongs to the ubiquitin-activating E1 family. It participates in the ubiquitin conjugation cascade by activating ubiquitin through adenylation and thioester bond formation with E1. UBA6 isoforms influence spermatogenesis and male fertility and are highly expressed in human monocytes.
