Product Specific Information

Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4ºC in the dark.
For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
Mouse anti Bovine CD4 antibody, clone CC8 recognizes bovine CD4, the homolog of human CD4 and immunoprecipitates an approximately 50 kDa molecule.

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV. CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells but may also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
Tissue-level expression includes thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut. CD4 functions to initiate or augment early T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck. It may also play a role in neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
