Mouse anti-rat CD169 antibody, clone ED3, recognizes the rat CD169 cell surface antigen (~185 kDa) expressed by macrophages, predominantly confined to lymphoid organs.
Target Information
The siglecs are a family of membrane-bound lectins (of the immunoglobulin superfamily) that bind sialic acid and mediate cell-cell interactions. Family members include sialoadhesin, CD22, and CD33.
Sialoadhesin is a macrophage-specific cell adhesion molecule expressed on activated macrophages in chronic inflammation and tumors.
