Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a recently described member of the B7 family. Its receptor, programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Upon ligation, PD-L1 decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated upon IFN-gamma stimulation, indicating its potential role in tumor immune evasion.
