• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family. PD-L1 binds to its receptor PD-1, which negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. This interaction decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-gamma stimulation, suggesting its role in tumor immune evasion.
