• PA1-4196 detects NFATc1 in human samples. NFATc1 is also known as NFAT2 or NFATc.
• PA1-4196 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
• The PA1-4196 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues S(211) P K T T D P E E G F P R(223) of human NFATc1.

Target Information

The product of this gene is a component of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) DNA-binding transcription complex. This complex consists of:

1. A preexisting cytosolic component that translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation.
2. An inducible nuclear component.

Proteins in this family play a central role in inducible gene transcription during immune response.
The NFATC1 gene product functions as a major molecular target for immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin A.
Five transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified, which may regulate inducible expression of different cytokine genes.
