Target Information
MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)은 Bcl-2 패밀리에 속하며 세포 생존 유지에 관여합니다. Isoform 1은 세포사멸을 억제하고, Isoform 2는 촉진합니다. MCL1의 C-말단은 bcl-2와 높은 서열 상동성을 가지며, DNA 손상 자극(예: 방사선, 자외선, 알킬화제)에 의해 발현이 증가합니다. MCL1은 미토콘드리아에 주로 존재하며, bcl-2와 유사하게 세포 생존을 촉진합니다. 세포사멸 억제 기전은 완전히 밝혀지지 않았으나, Bim 또는 Bak과 같은 pro-apoptotic 단백질을 중화하는 것으로 추정됩니다. MCL1은 다양한 세포 유형에서 발현되며, 배아 발생 및 B, T 림프구 발달에 필수적입니다. MCL1은 MCL1L 및 MCL1S 두 가지 주요 isoform으로 존재하며, MCL1S의 과발현은 세포사멸을 유도합니다.
