The Applied Biosystems™ Human GUSB (beta glucuronidase) Endogenous Control (FAM™/MGB Probe, Non-Primer Limited) is designed as an endogenous control for relative gene expression quantification in cDNA samples when used with other gene expression assays.
The probe is labeled with 6FAM™ dye and MGB, and the primers are not limited. It can be used for singleplex PCR reactions and is compatible with both inventoried and custom TaqMan™ Gene Expression Assays.

TaqMan™ Endogenous Controls eliminate the need for extensive assay design and testing by providing pre-designed probe and primer sets for normalization of RNA or DNA amount in reactions.
These controls simplify gene expression quantification and improve reproducibility across experiments.

TaqMan™ Endogenous Controls enable consistent and accurate quantification of gene expression across various biological systems, reducing the trial-and-error process of control selection for human, mouse, rat, and other eukaryotic genes.

Simple to Use

All components are QC-tested and provided as a single 20X mix. They are fully compatible with universal two-step RT-PCR conditions.
Simply combine with TaqMan™ Universal PCR Master Mix (with or without AmpErase™ UNG) and cDNA samples to obtain sensitive and reproducible data using Applied Biosystems instruments such as:

• 7900HT, 7300, 7500 Real-Time PCR Systems
• 7000 and 7700 Sequence Detection Systems

Flexible Offering

Each endogenous control uses the proven 5′ nuclease chemistry. Available configurations include:

• FAM™ dye-labeled TaqMan™ MGB probe (250 nM final) with two unlabeled primers (900 nM each)
• VIC™ dye-labeled TaqMan™ MGB probe (250 nM final) with two unlabeled primers (150 nM each, primer limited)
• VIC™ dye-labeled TAMRA™ probe (250 nM final) with two unlabeled primers (150 nM each, primer limited)

Choosing the Right Endogenous Control

Endogenous controls normalize target gene expression by correcting for differences in cDNA loading.
For best results, select a control gene consistently expressed across all samples.
For multiplexing, ensure the endogenous control gene is more abundantly expressed than the target gene.

Multiplex vs. Singleplex PCR

• VIC™-labeled probes: Primer limited, suitable for multiplexing.
• FAM™-labeled probes: Not primer limited, intended for singleplex reactions.
