Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human GDF-3. Anti-Human GDF-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hGDF-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human GDF-3 (500-P235) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hGDF-3.

Western Blot:
To detect hGDF-3 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hGDF-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

GDF3 is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. These proteins feature a polybasic proteolytic processing site that produces a mature protein with seven conserved cysteine residues. Members regulate cell growth and differentiation in embryonic and adult tissues. Although the specific function of GDF3 remains unknown, expression studies suggest involvement in adult lymphatic and erythroid system regulation and embryonic development.
